Your Apple iPhone is ready for this month’s huge upgrade
Apple’s iOS 13 with a wide swath of new features coming to your iPhone could be released later this month. Here’s what’s new and when to expect to download this blockbuster. If you’re patiently waiting for news of the launch of iOS 13, then it may not be long before the official launch. Apple has just announced that there will be a significant opening event on September 10. And if the company follows the usual pattern, its iOS release should follow shortly after that. If 2019 is the same as prior years, then from September 17 we can expect iOS 13 to arrive on phones.
Which iPhone support iOS 13?
Can you operate iOS 13 on your iPhone? On iPhone 6s or subsequently (including iPhone SE) it’ll be accessible. Here is the complete range of phones that are verified to operate iOS 13:
• iPhone 6s
• iPhone 6s Plus
• iPhone 7
• iPhone 7 Plus
• iPhone 8 Plus
• iPhone X
• iPhone XS, XS Max
• iPod touch (seventh gene)
Dark Mode will be accessible in all Apple apps. But that’s not all because developers will also have links to this feature. So assume a lot of modifications to your favourite apps. In addition to this enhanced appearance, there are plenty of other features coming up in iOS13, including an improved Photos phone, stronger reminders, and more methods to modify your images and audio. Location facilities, as they are in Android, will be more granular. If you want, you will only be able to share your location once. The app has to ask for permission to share afterwards every time with the option of denying, of course.
This new function adds simple one-hand writing through a word’s symbols to the iOS keyboard by continually swiping.
Craig Federighi, SVP Software Engineering, said on stage that iOS 13 would bring:
• 30% quicker face ID unlock
• 50% lower phone subscription sizes
• 60% smaller phone update sizes
• 2x faster app releases
